Dismal support, sync a disaster

Dont trust this software! It cost me all my private information. Gone. No support, no help. No response from the team. They got my money so theres nothing more to get from me. Im so angry about this!

Gone the way of the Dodo

I have had this application on my Mac and iPhone for some time now. I originally posted a five star review but now its time to downgrade it to a one star. App no longer syncs over W-Fi properly. I uninstalled the application from both my Mac and iPhone and then reinstalled to see if that would fix the problem but it didnt. I restored my phone from a backup to get my passwords back and have now transferred them to a simple spreadsheet. App is useless now.

Updated review for now abandoned app

This was by far the best password manager for ios and desktop use, but unfortunately no longer syncs and entry contents are randomly erased (blank content). Its a real shame, but Ive had to move to another app. One which is still supported.

Is this app still supported? Ive contacted the developer repeatedly to no avail. Syncing with Dropbox, data created on the iOS platform does not sync to the OSX platform, while data created on the OSX platform does sync to the iOS platform.

Wallet has been discontinued

Theres no mention of it here on the description page, but Acrylic Software have mentioned on their website that they have discontinued support for Wallet on iOS and Mac. The core of this app is still functional as is (for which I give it three stars), but its not perfect and as others have mentioned some of its other advertised features have broken over time. With no future updates coming from the developer, I cant recommend this software to others when theres a variety of other supported options available.

Abandoned and broken

Outrageous that this app is still for sale. Its no longer being developed and the crucial sync features are now broken. Shameful and dishonest. DONT BUY THIS.

STOPPED WORKING. LOST DATA! NO SUPPORT.

BROKEN APP! Developers have been completely unresponsive for months. Have reported them to Apple and just got a bunch of form responses from people with broken English. Not good for a company pocketing 30% from each sale. My company purchased many copies of this app to keep a centralized password file for team projects, and now the app will not sync. It will not accept the password for access to the data file, and is holding our data hostage. Many other reviewers are reporting the same. The developers are SCAMMING new users, knowingly taking their money for a product that doesnt work. STAY AWAY!!

Excellent little app

Ive used it more than I can even remember. Great to have all your cards and passwords easily available & integrated into Safari. Love it.

Abandonware

Do not purchase this app. It has been completely abandoned by the developer and has not had an update in years. Dropbox sync does not work and it looks like nothing will be done to fix it. It is very frustrating that my entire password database is stuck in Wallet and I will now have to find another solution that will work between my Mac, iPhone, and iPad. I am also very turned off by the price of 1Password. $18 per app per device is ridiculous. I might just develop my own. Very frustrating.

I am sick about it….

My wife and I share Wallet on two iPhones, an iPad, and a MacBook Air. We are often on opposites of the planet so keeping synched is key. Wallet synced flawlessly with MobileMe. Since the move to DropBox we have found that Wallet does not sync properly. We have used the app for a long time. Whenever family or friend bought an iPhone, I would insist that they install and start using Wallet for their own peace of mind. I, too, have contacted Acrylic support and was told the only possible fix is to uninstall and reinstall the program. That was a useless exercise and only resulted in losing recent changes. We see once again that our devices are no longer in sync. With hundreds of account ids and passwords and credit cards and PIN codes and passports and SSNs, I am sick about the prospect of entering everything into another app. But what else can we do???

No longer supported. Lost entire database!

Unable to get into contact with someone from AcrylicApps to get help in importing my wallet database file that I backed up. Refuses to import or load my records. Had to reset it because it would no longer sync to WebDav or Dropbox. Which made it worthless to me since I have an iPad, an iPhone and a Macbook Pro. Dont waste your money on any of the device platforms they offer.

Unresponsive

I was pleased with the product on just my iPhone. However, in trying to sync to my iPad using Dropbox, less than 1/2 of my passwords were transferred. Repeated attempts of uninstalling on iPad and re-syncing had the same results. I wrote to the Acrylic customer support address and never received a reply. I am now looking for another password app to replace Wallet. This was $10 completely wasted.

Extinct - thanks (not) for the tech support!

Long time user, just ran into a tech problem and asked for support. Just as with commenters below, I found out these guys were bought by Apple. Evidently, they just walked away from this software and left us all high and dry. Ive moved to 1Password, DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!

Do NOT Buy!!!!!!!

As of May 1st, 2013 you can no longer sync with Dropbox. According to forum posts on the web, the developer of Wallet (Acrylic) has not updated to the current API for Dropbox which was released years ago and support for the old API was finally dropped. I used to use this app religiously, but not I would not advise anyone SPEND MONEY on it. It is not fully functional. I cannot sync and there are no reasonable alternatives. Find something else!!!

Dont Buy This App! IT IS HORRIBLE!

I have been a user of this app for many years, but it has turned out to be one of the most horrible apps I have experienced. The owner has gone out of business and the app has virtually lost all of its significant features and functionality. For example, you are not able to sync data from your computer to your iPhone; you are not able to sync data from Dropbox to either your iPhone or computer; The Safari and Chrome plugins are not recognized and do not work and the customer service is the absolute pitts because even though the owner has left the website up it serves no purpose because no one is responding to the emails, including the owner. Many of his loyal customers, like myself, have been trying to reach someone in technical support for over a year and there is not at least the courtesy of saying there will be no customer support. Dont believe the false truth that is posted about providing technical support because it is very misleading and unethical in my judgment. So please dont waste your money because this product is horrible and I am shocked Apple continues to carry this product given all of the negative reviews of late. Dont say that I did not warn you!!!!!!

Completely forgotten...

It used to be the most frequently used app on my iPhone/ipad/Macbook but it is totally forgotten, the developers left it to die...

Works and backup/restores to Dropbox

App works fine for me and dropbox sync/backup works every time. Maybe Im one of the lucky ones after reading the Dropbox sync issues that others are having. I ran a test after backing up my data to dropbox from my iPhone, then installed app on iPad mini and restored. Ive been using this for years and will continue as long as it works or at least see if it does after iOS 7 is released. * iPhone 5 - 6.1.4 *

Orphaned Product

Sync may look like its working from iOS but its not. In OS X it at least returns an error (for Dropbox sync), letting you know that it failed. In iOS youre left with no clue. Dropbox confirmed its because the app uses an old version of their API. Bottom line is the app has been abandoned by its developer. No support, emails go unanswered. Why wouldnt they sell the source code as a valued asset for someone else to continue to manage?? They burned what used to be a great product... Shame

DO NOT PURCHASE!!!

I have been using this app for a few years. Initially, it grew in performance as OSX and iOS grew. Unfortunately, that it no longer the case. I have contacted customer service 3 times in all these years. Initially, very responsive. Now, the ghost of Christmas past has abandoned ship--complete lack of response and attention to emails. About a year ago, it took 3 tries to get Acrylics attention. Currently, Wallet refuses to sync with Dropbox--3 tries, still no response. I am getting the impression that this app is no longer supported or is way understaffed. Avoid the headaches, there are other viable options.

Abandoned

The developer now works for Facebook. This app (and its Mac OS X counterpart) are no longer supported. I think it is very shameful of him to continue selling the app at all, much less without any prominent notice of being abandoned. It would also be nice if the developer worked with the 1Password team to allow for a smooth transfer of data from Wallet to other password apps. As it is, the app works less and less reliably with each OS update, but there is no way to migrate out of it.
